Responsible for providing overall leadership and direction to the Association and for delivering its strategy. Accountable for service delivery, and operational and financial performance. Emma has a 30-year career in social housing, having started her career as a policy trainee with a Surrey-based council in 1996. Since then, she has worked predominantly for housing associations, both large and small. She is an experienced Board Member and Trustee. My aspiration is for LSHA tenants to feel happy and secure in their homes, for them to trust us as their landlord, and for our staff to feel supported and proud to work for us.
Responsible for all financial activity and the organisational lead for IT. Provides accounting, financial management, treasury management, financial compliance, and risk management services. Abby worked in the not-for-profit sector for several years, before moving into Social Housing ten years ago. She has worked as a Senior Finance Business Partner, Finance Manager, Development Accountant and Head of Finance with various housing associations prior to joining LSHA. I am pleased to be a part of Lambeth & Southwark HA. I am keen to see us remain a healthy going concern with surplus reserves, which will enable us to keep upgrading our housing stock and provide a better quality of homes for our residents.
Operational responsibility for delivery of all housing services, working closely with tenants, contractors and consultants. Also has direct responsibility for the preparation of asset management for housing and maintenance services. Steve previously worked and volunteered in community investment, charities and health promotion, before moving into social housing 25 years ago. Working for both large and small housing associations, primarily in supported housing as well as the Supporting People commissioners at Kent County Council. I look forward to LSHA working through the challenges we face and doing so, hand in hand with tenants as partners to genuinely achieve better services that we all want to see and deliver.
Manages day to day accounting and finance and maintains the purchase ledger; preparing payments and preparation of service charges and rent increases. Having been in various roles including being a Business Performance Manager I know it’s imperative to have good team values. We grow and learn as a team and good team synergy increases our productivity as an organisation. To continue seeing LSHA grow as an organisation and engage with the local community to improve social housing standards. In an economy where the cost of living keeps rising, our tenants need to be assured they are part of an organisation that cares and listens to their opinions.
Responsible for leading projects for both the housing and operation team to improve our data and our processes to benefit the service we can provide to our tenants. Also works on our IT systems looking at new ways we can incorporate IT into how we operate as an organisation. James is in his first full time role in the housing industry, joining LSHA in 2023, however has experience working for community engagement projects for amateur and professional sporting teams in Essex. He also graduated in 2020 with a degree in Sports Business Management. I am excited to see where LSHA can go with the change and improvement I have witnessed since joining I hope we can continue this upward trajectory and provide a service we can be proud about and that is tenant led and focused.
Manage the newly formed repairs and maintenance team and oversee day to day maintenance and repairs issues, voids, survey and post inspect works. Tender, appoint and manage technical and repairs & maintenance contractors and contracts. Work on obtaining value for money and improving quality of all works carried out. I have worked in public & private property industry for 30+ years. Within various large and small housing associations and local authorities. I have held various management roles in housing management, estate services, repairs & maintenance and technical departments. I have a 1st class housing degree and hold CIH Chartered status. I am excited joining LSHA during this important time of change and organisational development, and looking forward to improving tenant cohesiveness, involvement and driving up service standards and quality.
First line of contact for our customer’s enquiries & to provide administrative support to members of the team. Jerome began working in housing as an apprentice customer service officer, who eventually went on to be the team supervisor. He has previously worked as repairs planner, resident liaison officer & complaint officer. Starting with LSHA as a temporary colleague, I am happy to have been brought on full time by LSHA. My aim is to improve resident relations by lending an understanding ear & friendly face.
We have rebranded the Housing Officer role to reflect the changes that we are discussing with our engaged tenants and deliver a more dynamic and focused housing management service. Operational responsibility for delivering all housing management functions including rent collection. This involves ensuring your estate is clean, tidy, ASB issues, tenancy sustainment, advice on all aspects of your tenancy and supporting you to manage your rent payments. Kate brings a wealth of robust and confident experience from the housing sector. She is passionate about providing a responsive and efficient service to meet the needs of residents and to improve the experience they have from us as a landlord. Kate’s extensive knowledge and experience in the sector has already made an impact on the service our tenants have received.
